Alabama weather is never predictable and this winter proved that to be true. The Center had to be closed on several occasions due to inclement weather. Staff put their heads together to come up with a way to recoup funds lost and decided on a Saturday Field Day. It was held on June 28. It was a day filled with food, fun , games, music and SnoCones! Everyone enjoyed playing games like Washers, Cornhole, Flip Cup, Tug o War and Cookie Walk. They also enjoyed cooling off with a game of Water Balloon Toss and Sponge Bucket Race. Sgt Coonley with the local Marine Recruiting station brought several recruits to volunteer and run the games. They also brought the Marine Hummer Vehicle and lots of prizes. The Prattville Fire Dept brought a Fire Truck and Ambulance and demonstrated how they worked. The Prattville Police Dept also had a Police Car and Motorcycle on display. At the end of the day everyone received a goodie bag filled with prizes donated by local businesses.
